An innovative blend of partner yoga, acrobatics, and thai massage, acroyoga is a great way to practice trust, communication, and connection, while discovering all sorts of fun ways two bodies can interact.
You don’t need experience in Acro or a partner to begin. A foundational practice developing strength and flexibility is helpful. Acroyoga incorporates balance, flexibility, and strength. As a base, one learns to use the natural structure of the body and static muscular engagement to support their flyer, minimizing the need for exertion of the muscles. As a flyer, one learns mid-air poses. Poses can either be strung together to make dynamic sequences or sustained for therapeutic benefit.
